The Breaking Global Deadlocks project was established by the Centre for Global Studies and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI).

The Breaking Global Deadlocks project was established by the Centre for Global Studies and the Centre for International Governance Innovation. Over the past five years, a large network of individuals and organizations have been discussing the creation of a new group of country leaders to tackle global issues that have not been resolved by any of the existing international groupings or fora. Current global governance structures have failed to solve persistent global problems, despite repeated commitments to find solutions.
