The Brookings Institution, the Centre for International Governance Innovation and the G-24 have jointly organized a high-level seminar on “Delivering on IMF Quota Reform”. In 2010 G20 Leaders and the IMFC committed to the next phase of IMF quota and governance reform that includes a comprehensive review of the quota formula by January 2013, the completion of the 15th General Review of Quotas by January 2014 and changes to the composition of the Executive Board. Given the commitment to reach agreement by January 2013, discussions are now approaching a critical stage. This is an opportune time to bring together leading experts and officials to exchange views on the elements of a meaningful reform of the quota formula. The discussion will be in a roundtable format to facilitate participation by all.
