Canada Among Nations is the premier source for contemporary insight into pressing Canadian foreign policy issues. Now in its 27th edition, contributors explore Canada and Africa’s rich history, taking stock of what has been accomplished. This volume offers recommendations for a more strategically beneficial Canada-Africa partnership in areas including trade and investment, democracy and nation-building, development aid, governance, corporate social responsibility — especially in the natural resource sector where Canadian firms are heavily invested — and regional security.

During lunch, Dr. Medhora and Dr. Samy will preview some themes from the volume and answer questions from the audience. Several of the publication’s contributing authors – including Paul Hitschfeld, David Carment, Ian Smillie, David C. Elder, Betty Plewes, Bill Morton, Chris Brown, and Bruce Montador – will also be in attendance. This discussion is co-chaired by Teddy Samy and Rohinton Medhora, with Paul Hitschfeld, Betty Plewes, and David Elder as panelists.

We hope that you can join us for what promises to be a stimulating discussion.

Please register before June 7th, 2013, by ordering a free ticket or calling 613-520-6696. Lunch is provided. There is no cost for this event.

The Luncheon will take place in Conference Room 270 in the Residence Commons Building at Carleton University
