The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is hosting a two-day conference titled China Research Days on April 14-15th, 2008 at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. Participation is anticipated from individuals and institutions from China, North America and Europe.

A third day, held at CIGI in Waterloo on April 16th, 2008, will focus on policy issues related to China. Two distinguished researchers are invited from the Development Research Center of the State Council and Ministry of Information Industry to present on Policy and Measures of Chinese Industry Adjustment and Challenges for Chinese ICT Industry Development.

The aim of the conference is to improve the understanding of China’s current situation and emerging changes, to provide a platform for sufficient exchange of ideas on China-related topics, such as poverty and inequality, science and technology, innovation policy, financial reform, international trade policy, regional development, industrial policy, standardization, etc.
