CIGI and the Brookings Institution have partnered to support the Committee on International Economics and Policy Reform (CIEPR), a non-partisan, independent group of leading experts, comprised of academics and former government and central bank officials. The objective of CIEPR is to analyze global monetary and financial problems, offer systematic analysis, and advance reform ideas. The Committee attempts to identify areas in which the global economy architecture should be strengthened and recommend solutions intended to reconcile national interests with broader global interests. Through its reports, it seeks to foster public understanding of key issues in global economic management and economic governance.

The launch of the first report on "Corporate Debt in Emerging Countries" will be held at the Brookings Institution on September 3, 2015. Director of the Global Economy Program Domenico Lombardi, Distinguished Fellow Malcolm Knight, and Manager of the Global Economy Program Alisha Clancy will attend the launch on behalf of CIGI.
