The political salience of corruption in postconflict peacebuilding has grown because of its prevalence and impact on both governance and security in postconflict territories. Over the course of two days, the workshop explored several important themes including whether corruption in postconflict contexts is different to corruption in states with weak governance; the political economy of postconflict reconstruction; and the issue of leadership in fighting corruption in the context of peacebuilding.
