The inaugural meeting of the Digital Trade Study Group, titled “How AI Is Changing Trade, and How Trade Agreements Respond to AI,” will take place on March 3 at 12 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. GMT. It will explore how AI is influencing trade, and how trade agreements can respond to the challenges of AI.

Teresa Scassa (Canada Research Chair in Information Law and Policy at the University of Ottawa) and Cosmina Dorobantu (co-director of the Public Policy Programme at The Alan Turing Institute) will each provide brief presentations, followed by a discussion among participants.

The study group is co-organized by the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford; UK Trade Policy Observatory, Sussex University; Chatham House; the Centre for International Governance Innovation; and the Digital Trade and Data Governance Hub at George Washington University.
