Building on conclusions from two previous workshops, researchers from CIGI’s Financing Global Environmental Public Goods project and invited experts will discuss how to frame innovative financing mechanisms as a positive sum game, to be endorsed by all the major players. Discussions will focus on defining an acceptable process to govern allocation decisions from the Green Climate Fund, and how if an effective accountability regime can be devised, with an emphasis on governing and financing structure.
