Researchers from CIGI’s Financing Global Environmental Public Goods project and invited experts will review development/climate financing issues and innovative financing mechanisms (e.g., special drawing rights or SDRs, financial transaction tax, airline levies, favorable tax treatment of “Green bonds”), to assess of ideas for financing global public goods. Experts will assess financing proposals and identify what has impeded further progress and what has to be done to achieve a breakthrough.
