We are in the middle of a strategic competition for power and influence of all aspects of the Internet.  A new narrative must be developed and propagated. It must appeal to national and corporate leaders articulating a simple message that communicates why a sustainable cyberspace is linked to the GDP growth for every nation. There is an opportunity for the Global Commission on Internet Governance to assemble a multi stakeholder narrative that describes the importance of the Internet and the underlying technologies that are fueling our economic growth and enabling our very way of life.

The second in-person meeting of the GCIG, hosted by the Maekyung Media Group, will continue the work began in Stockholm in addressing this complex governance challenge. The Maekyung Media Group is also organizing the World Knowledge Forum, which takes place at the same time as the commision meeting. The Forum is a non-profit entity, which aims to promote balanced global growth and prosperity through knowledge-sharing.

The Global Commission on Internet Governance meeting is an invitation-only event.
