The Global Youth Forum is a day-long conference for 100 high school students that are interested in international issues. The goal of the day is to expose them to new issues, groups and actions taking place locally, nationally and internationally. Students partake in workshops, games and activities that encourage them to get involved in global issues.
This year’s theme is “The Millennium Development Goals: You, Waterloo and the World”. The sessions will all focus on the goals and what is being done to achieve them in Waterloo and throughout Canada.
CIGI and the YMCA will be joined by the Canadian International Development Agency, the Red Cross, WPIRG, Mennonite Central Committee, Global Youth Action Network and other organizations to bring about an interesting, informative and inspiring day.
Students can register through their schools.
