As part of The Word On The Street Festival, author and activist Amanda Lindhout joins Dr. Andrew Thompson, CIGI Senior Fellow, at the Waterloo Region Record Stage at the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda for an interview about her bestselling memoir A House in the Sky.

The Word on the Street Festival, is an annual one-day national book and magazine family festival celebrating literacy and the written arts. The festival is a national celebration of literacy and the written word. Each September, in communities coast to coast, the public is invited to participate in hundreds of author events, presentations and workshops and to browse a marketplace that boasts the best selection of Canadian books and magazines you'll find anywhere. The Word On The Street promotes the importance of literacy with free exhibits, performances and hands-on activities.
