International Financial Governance: Toward the London G20 Summit

The thematic focus of is four key aspects of the governance and institutional reform of the international system in response to the global financial crisis and the need to address pressing long-term global challenges.

The four issues will be: (1) IMF resources and IMF governance reform; (2) new institutional mechanisms for advancing reform of financial oversight, supervision and regulation; (3) World Bank reform; and (4) an overview of the international institutional system with regard to relative roles of existing institutions, the gaps and overlaps within the current system, and how to make the current system more legitimate and effective.
