The Potsdam Spring Dialogues 2008, 4-5 April, entitled “Share Responsibility to Protect? Global and Regional Approaches to Peacekeeping in Africa attempts to examine what impacts do African regional arrangements have on questions of war, peace keeping and security on the continent and how can regional actors’ problems regarding mandates and scarce resources be tackled? It aims to identify key factors for improving cooperation between the UN, regional actors and the EU, with a particular look at Burundi, West Africa and Sudan, in tracing developments and analyzing the respective consequences.
