Press Conference: CIGI to release global survey, by Ipsos, on Internet security and trust

The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) will release the results of its global public opinion survey on Internet security on Monday, November 24, at 10 a.m. in Ottawa.

The CIGI survey, conducted by global research company Ipsos, explores global views toward Internet access, privacy, security, trust and governance.

Fen Hampson, director of CIGI’s Global Security & Politics Program, and John Wright, senior vice president and managing director of Global @advisor at Ipsos, will present the survey findings.

Event Speakers

Fen Osler Hampson was a CIGI distinguished fellow and director of the Global Security & Politics Program (2012-2019). Currently he serves as chancellor’s professor at Carleton University and continues to provide leading research and insight to policy makers in the areas of Canadian foreign policy and international and regional security. He also serves as executive director of the World Refugee Council and was co-director of the Global Commission on Internet Governance and director of the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.
