The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be finalized and launched ahead of the Second Caribbean Region Dialogue in October. Therefore, the global framework to guide international, regional and national development policies until 2030 will already be set. This meeting will provide an opportunity for an early stock take on the substantive policy implications of the SDGs framework for the Caribbean. It will consider two significant policy challenges for the Caribbean in the post-2015 era: infrastructure and long-term infrastructure financing needs, and financing the Caribbean Blue Economy, in the context of a new SDG dedicated to conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources.
