Cyberspace and outer space are new frontiers for national security that blur traditional perceptions about borders, sovereignty and defence strategy. The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is hosting a virtual round table discussion on the rising challenges presented by the space-cyber nexus.

This discussion is part of a larger project partly funded by the Department of National Defence’s MINDS Targeted Engagement program. It aims to build strategic engagement between the Department of National Defence, the Canadian Armed Forces and leading experts in the field by focusing on how the space-cyber nexus can be leveraged to support military operations and defence mechanisms, while also considering the implications of the current and predicted developments in geopolitics, governance at the national and international levels, and global norms. It will also make recommendations for advancing a more robust global governance architecture.
