This workshop will examine global health governance from an African perspective and focus in on challenges related to the upsurge in mobility of people and the pathogens they carry. Panels will take stock of efforts by regional and international actors to respond to new conceptions of sovereignty and recent trends in migration and refugee flows. The two-day workshop will convene experts and practitioners to advise on future needs and offer policy innovations in this new world of moving global health.
