The Centre for International Governance Innovation's International Law Research Program (ILRP) hosted a lecture with Michael Geist, Professor of Law at the University of Ottawa and Canada Research Chair in Internet and E-Commerce Law.
Professor Geist shared thoughts on his comprehensive work on the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Intellectual Property Rights. After his remarks, there was a discussion, moderated by ILRP Director Oonagh Fitzgerald, with panelists Warren Clarke (Centre for Digital Entrepreneurship and Economic Performance), Barry Sookman (Senior Partner, McCarthy T├ętrault) and Myra Tawfik (CIGI Senior Fellow).
From September to May each year, the CIGI Speaker Series are presented on important international topics to raise public awareness and understanding on a variety of current global issues.
