The CIGI Campus

The CIGI Campus is a hub of academic and research organizations in Waterloo, Ontario, that are focused on international affairs. It is the result of Jim Balsillie's vision to build capacity in international affairs in Canada. The campus includes CIGI itself, as well as the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA). The BSIA was founded in 2007, and is a collaborative partnership between CIGI, the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. Other inhabitants of the campus will be announced over time, and include a proposed International Law Program, in a collaboration with an existing school of law in Ontario.
