Now available, the 2013 volume explores Canada and Africa's rich history, taking stock of what has been accomplished and highlighting opportunities that exist.

In this video, Betty Plewes touches on the importance of Canadian civil society organizations in Africa, which is the focus of her chapter co-authored with Brian Tomlinson.

Released in June 2013, the new book — Canada Africa Relations: Looking Back, Looking Ahead — is published by The Centre for International Governance Innovation, in partnership with the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University.
