Saturday’s first session, moderated by Shin-wha Lee, a professor of political science and international relations at Korea University, was on "The New Geometry of Summitry: Universal versus Functional Issues Management". Panelists Gregory Chin, a CIGI senior fellow and acting director of the development program, CIGI senior fellow Barry Carin, and Sam Daws, a senior research associate at the Centre for International Studies at the University of Oxford, discussed issues of representation, middle powers, and agendas within international institutions, such as the UN and G20.
