This week, Inside the Issues welcomes James Blight, Chair of Foreign Policy Development at CIGI and Professor at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA) and janet Lang, Research Professor at BSIA, in a discussion on their new book The Armageddon Letters released in coordination with the 50th Anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis. The couple discuss their goal to move beyond intellectual review to harness the "heuristic fear" associated with the crisis in order to explore implications for current US foreign policy. Following an insightful review of the crisis and leaders, Jim and janet present take-aways from the crisis and lessons that can be applied today.
