The New Arab Wars | Inside the Issues 6.9

In episode nine of season six, Marc Lynch joins CIGI Senior Fellow and co-host Andrew Thompson for a discussion on his new book, "The New Arab Wars: Anarchy and Uprising in the Middle East."

Lynch, who is professor of political science and international affairs at George Washington University, discusses cross-border politics in, and foreign policy towards, the Middle East after the hope-filled Arab uprisings. His new book details the costs of the poor choices made by regional actors, delivers a scathing analysis of Western misreadings of conflict in the Middle East, and condemns international interference that has stoked violence.
