On December 2, 2014 Shadi Hamid, Fellow at the Brookings Institution's Center for Middle East Policy, spoke at the CIGI Global Policy Forum in Ottawa, Canada on the subject of his recent book, "Temptations of Power: Islamists and Illiberal Democracy in a New Middle East."
