In September 2016, the Centre for International Governance Innovation welcomed Anders Aslund to speak at our Global Policy Forum in Ottawa. Anders, a leading expert in economic policy in Ukraine and Russia, delivered a speech on the current state of economic reform in Ukraine titled “Ukraine: What has been accomplished, what went wrong and what needs to be done.”

Anders is a Resident Senior Fellow in the Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center at the Atlantic Council and served as an Economic Adviser to the governments of Russia (1991 to 1994) and Ukraine (1994 to 1997).

Launched in 2012 by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), and held at the Rideau Club in Ottawa, the CIGI Global Policy Forum offers audience members access to a wide range of distinguished speakers: policy experts and influencers shaping the world's debates and discussions on global economic, security, development and environmental issues.
