Non-consensual intimate image distribution (NCIID), often referred to as “revenge pornography” or “image-based sexual abuse,” is a growing scourge in the lives of its many victims. Curbing this growing form of gender violence is no simple task, given variable contexts and levels of harm.

The Mounties were called in to investigate, writes Wesley Wark in The Globe and Mail, and mystery has surrounded the case. Amid the political theatre, Parliament has undermined its own creation, the special committee itself.
