Global Crises and the Role of Think Tanks

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the global economy and much of regular daily life to a standstill, causing governments to wrestle with how best to respond to the public health crisis. In a virtual edition of CIGI's Community Event series, this presentation discussed how think tanks — such as the Centre for International Governance Innovation — offer guidance on proactive policy responses to the global crisis including the current epidemic. It was led by Aaron Shull, Managing Director and General Counsel at CIGI who provided an overview of the pressing policy concerns and the role of think tanks and concluded with a moderated Q&A led by CIGI’s Communications Advisor, Kristy Smith.

Series: Speaker Series
