Abhishek Sankritik is director, policy and programs at Finternet Labs and a policy specialist at the Cambridge Digital Innovation and Regulation Initiative (C:\>DIR). At Finternet Labs, he leads policy and regulatory affairs, engaging with governments, regulators and market participants globally to design the legal frameworks for open, interoperable finance, covering digital assets, identity, embedded compliance and settlement architecture. At C:\>DIR, he supports policy strategy, regulator engagement and programming across global policy dialogues, symposia, fellowships and sandbox experimentation.
Abhishek co-authored the World Bank background paper “Digital Public Infrastructure: Setting Standards with the Hourglass Model.” Prior to his work at Finternet, he was chief operating officer and general counsel at Cymbient Technologies (Rooba.Finance), an asset-tokenization platform that, among its other assets, received the IFSCA FinTech Innovation Sandbox licence to tokenize venture fund units.
He began his career practising law in the Supreme Court of India, where he represented states and private parties in constitutional matters, including Article 370, Sabarimala and the Right to Privacy.
