Aya Al-Shalchi is an M.A candidate in the international public policy program at the Balsillie School of International Affairs and a CIGI graduate fellow.
Motivated by her background experiences, her research focuses on Middle East studies, terrorism, democracy, development and post-conflict nation reconstruction.
