Changyong Rhee

Changyong Rhee is chief economist, and officer-in-charge of the Office of Regional Economic Integration, at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is the chief spokesperson for ADB on economic and development trends, and oversees the development of strategies and approaches to promote regional cooperation and integration.

Changyong Rhee is chief economist, and officer-in-charge of the Office of Regional Economic Integration, at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is the chief spokesperson for ADB on economic and development trends, and oversees the development of strategies and approaches to promote regional cooperation and integration. 

He was the secretary-general of the Group of Twenty summit’s Presidential Committee in the Republic of Korea. He has more than 20 years of experience as an economist, financial adviser and academic, and has served in various leadership positions in financial and economic institutions in the Republic of Korea. He was previously professor of economics at Seoul National University and assistant professor at the University of Rochester.
