Dirk Zetzsche is a full professor and holds the Appui au Développement Autonome Chair in Financial Law (Inclusive Finance) at the University of Luxembourg, as well as a non-executive directorship at the Center for Business and Corporate Law at the University of Düsseldorf.

He holds a doctoral degree from the University of Düsseldorf, an LL.M. from the University of Toronto and a habilitation from the University of Düsseldorf. His main interest lies in international and comparative aspects of banking, financial, corporate, securities and private law. He has published extensively in German and English and advised various European, global and national regulators on the subject. Dirk is a member of the European Banking Institute.
