Bio
H. E. Ines Coppoolse is the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Canada. She began her career with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992. During the period from 1992 to 2001, she held various positions, both at the Netherlands Embassy in London, United Kingdom, and in The Hague. From 2001 to 2004, Ambassador Coppoolse was head of the Recruitment and Selection Section within the ministry’s Human Resources Department. Following this, she served as deputy permanent representative at the Netherlands Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna, Austria; deputy director of the Asia and Oceania Department in The Hague; and subsequently director of the ministry’s Human Resources Department. Prior to assuming her role as Ambassador to Canada in 2020, she served as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Sweden.
Ambassador Coppoolse holds a degree in international relations from the University of Amsterdam.
