John Ravenhill

John Ravenhill is director of the Balsillie School of International Affairs and professor of political science at the University of Waterloo. He was previously head of the School of Politics and International Relations in the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University, and chair of politics at the University of Edinburgh.

John Ravenhill is director of the Balsillie School of International Affairs and professor of political science at the University of Waterloo. He was previously head of the School of Politics and International Relations in the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University, and chair of politics at the University of Edinburgh. 

He is a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. His work has appeared in most of the leading journals in international relations. He was the founding editor of the Cambridge University Press series, Cambridge Asia-Pacific Studies. His most recent book, co-edited with Saadia Pekkanen and Rosemary Foot, is the Oxford Handbook of the International Relations of Asia (Oxford University Press, 2014).
