Lisa Quest is a CIGI senior fellow and the Managing Partner for UK and Ireland and co-head of the Government and Public Institutions Practice in Europe for Oliver Wyman, a global management consultancy. She sits on the firm’s global leadership team, defining major strategy and policy decisions for the business, while overseeing the work of other regional teams and global subcommittees.
Lisa works with senior civil servants and government ministers as well as executives of the world’s leading organizations on topics spanning digital transformation, governance, strategy, financial planning, risk management and public policy and regulatory response. Her work supports leadership teams to stimulate growth and innovation while controlling for risks posed to consumers and businesses. Lisa’s work has been recognized with inclusion on Financial News’ Women in European Finance 2024 list.
Most recently, Lisa led the Defence and Economic Growth Taskforce alongside the Confederation of British Industry, which was co-chaired by the chancellor of the exchequer and the secretary of state for defence. The taskforce launched a report with recommendations on how the government and the private sector can strengthen the United Kingdom’s defence capabilities while driving economic growth. Lisa was quoted in the Financial Times emphasizing the importance of the UK financial services sector in bolstering growth in defence spending and highlighting the need to mobilize private sector investments across the supply chain to facilitate a more rapid flow of capital.
Lisa is a keen advocate of inclusion and a sponsor of diversity — she was a founding member of Oliver Wyman’s Race & Culture Council, playing a key role in shaping its initiatives. She is executive sponsor of Oliver Wyman’s Women of Oliver Wyman and has also served as both a formal and informal mentor to numerous women from under-represented ethnic groups, supporting their development and advancement in the management consultant industry. Lisa was shortlisted for Mentor of the Year by Management Today magazine and is named one of the Top 100 Female Executives on the HERoes list.
Lisa recently joined the advisory board of the Centre for Responsible Leadership at Imperial College Business School and also sits on the board of trustees for the Canada–UK Chamber of Commerce.
She holds a first-class honours degree in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and a master’s degree in public administration in European public and economic policy from the LSE, where she has also been a guest lecturer since 2019.
