Usman Hannan

Usman Hannan is a sessional lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Waterloo, and an analyst at Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator. He holds a BA(Honours with High Distinction) from the University of Toronto in Economics, Mathematics and Middle Eastern Civilizations, as well as an MA in Economics from the University of Waterloo.

Usman Hannan is a sessional lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Waterloo, and an analyst at Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator. He holds a BA(Honours with High Distinction) from the University of Toronto in Economics, Mathematics and Middle Eastern Civilizations, as well as an MA in Economics from the University of Waterloo.

Previously, he worked as a graduate research assistant to Professor John Whalley at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, looking at the dimensions of state fragility in low-income countries under stress. Prior to that, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant to Dr Sylvia Ostry at the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto.
