Wafa Ben-Hassine is an American-Tunisian writer and attorney-at-law, and a responsible technology principal at the Omidyar Network. She currently serves on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council (GFC) on Data Policy, and was co-chair of the GFC on Human Rights and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Most recently, Wafa was the Middle East and North Africa policy manager for Access Now, a global non-profit organization dedicated to defending and extending the digital rights of users at risk. Wafa primarily writes about tech policy, transparency in government and the intersection of tech with universal human rights. She holds a J.D. with a certificate in international law from the University of Denver, and a B.A. in political science, public law from the University of California, San Diego.
