Brenda Woods is the program manager of CIGI’s Global Security & Politics Program. In this role she oversees the management, budgeting, administration and implementation of the program’s core activities and other new projects as they occur. She coordinates and manages the interface between the Global Security & Politics Program staff and senior and distinguished fellows associated with the program, assists in securing external sources of funding from the private sector and helps with the management of relations with key donors. Brenda’s research interests include conflict management, mediation, reconciliation and capacity building with a focus on the intersection and role of the private sector with global governance. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, she has held a variety of posts in the private and not-for-profit sectors and spent a number of years in the venture capital industry.
