Bio

Chios Carmody is a CIGI senior fellow and associate professor at Western Law, Western University, where he teaches courses in public international law, international trade law, international business transactions and contracts. Since 2002, he has been Canadian national director of the Canada-United States Law Institute. His current research focuses on developing a general theory of WTO law, which is the subject of his forthcoming monograph, A Theory of WTO Law: a theory of law (Cambridge University Press).

He is currently principal investigator on a CIGI-sponsored grant examining the operation and effectiveness of the cap-and-trade scheme under the Western Climate Initiative between Ontario, Quebec and California.
