She holds a Ph.D. in economics from Xiamen University, and her research interests include international trade in services, China’s economic policies and international finance.

Her recent publications include “China’s Service Trade” (co-authored with John Whalley, Journal of Economic Surveys) and “Are Offshore RMB Arrangements the Basis for a Long‐Term Exchange Rate System Without Convertibility?” (co-authored with John Whalley, China and World Economy).
