Jeff Crisp is a specialist on refugee, asylum, migration and humanitarian issues. He is currently affiliated with Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) and the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford.

Jeff Crisp is a specialist on refugee, asylum, migration and humanitarian issues. He is currently affiliated with Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) and the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford. 

He has held senior positions with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, where he was head of policy development and evaluation, as well as with Refugees International (as senior director for policy and advocacy) and with the Global Commission on International Migration (as director of policy and research). He has also worked for the Independent Commission on International Humanitarian Issues and the British Refugee Council.

Jeff has first-hand experience with refugee situations throughout the world and has published, lectured and broadcast extensively on refugee-related issues. He holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
