Bio
Martha is an independent journalist originally from the Washington, D.C., area. She has been based in Mexico since 2013. She reports for news outlets in the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico on environmental justice, immigration, urbanism and gender. Her work reporting in Mexico and Central America has appeared in The New Republic, The Guardian and CityLab, among other outlets. She was a 2014–2015 Fulbright fellow researching at the National Institute of Anthropology and History in Mexico.
