Ming Zhang is senior research fellow and director in the Department of International Investment, Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

Bio

Ming Zhang is senior research fellow and director in the Department of International Investment, Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

He was previously the Rajawali Fellow at the Ash Center of Harvard Kennedy School (2011-2012), assistant research fellow at CASS’s Institute of World Economics and Politics (2007–2009), visiting scholar at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (2008) and research fellow at the China Finance 40 Forum (2009–present).

Ming is a member of the council of the China Society of World Economics, advisory board member of the Journal of International Economic Review and the Journal of Global Business & Finance, associate professor for the Graduate School of CASS and for the University of International Business and Economics, and an anonymous referee for various academic journals.

He has published over 50 journal articles, chapters in English, several books, and over 500 newspaper and magazine articles. He has his B.A. and M.A. in economics from Beijing Normal University and Ph.D. in economics from the Graduate School of CASS.
