Bio

Rebecca MacIntyre is a communications advisor at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), where she specializes in strategic communications, public relations and stakeholder engagement.

Previously, Rebecca was a marketing communications manager with Intellijoint Surgical, a Kitchener-based medical technology company that develops smart navigation for total joint replacements. Here she led the marketing communications team in the development and execution of integrated communications strategies to drive sales, increase international market share and grow brand awareness. She also managed media relations and patient education and engagement initiatives. Prior to Intellijoint, she worked as a communications and public relations coordinator with Santis Health, a public affairs, strategic advisory, public policy, marketing and communication consultancy that provides counsel and support for clients in the health-care and life sciences sectors across Canada.

Rebecca holds an advanced diploma in public relations from Humber College and a certificate in public engagement from the International Association for Public Participation.
