Bio

Robert Greenhill is a CIGI senior fellow and executive chairman of the Global Canada Initiative. His research investigates Canadian global engagement and national multistakeholder fora to support engagement on the global stage.

Robert served as managing director and chief business officer at the World Economic Forum. Prior to this, he was president and deputy minister of the Canadian International Development Agency and a senior visiting executive with the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa. Robert has also worked in the for-profit industry, serving in executive roles at Bombardier (including as president of Bombardier International) and working as a consultant for McKinsey & Company.

Robert holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD in France, an M.A. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a B.A. from the University of Alberta.
