Scott Lewis joined CIGI as Program Manager of the International Law Research Program in November 2015. In this role, he will administer the business aspects of the program’s projects and activities, serve as a liaison with Finance and Public Affairs, and be responsible for overseeing general office administration.

Prior to joining CIGI, Scott was a Program Officer, Asia for the Canadian Cooperative Association in Ottawa. With this position, he managed cooperative and credit union projects in Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia. Prior to this, Scott worked on community development projects with the Mennonite Central Committee in both Vientiane, Laos and Prey Veng, Cambodia. Scott has also completed research placements with the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service in Baltimore, Maryland and with the Bonn International Center for Conversion in Bonn, Germany.

He graduated from the University Of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Collaborative International Development Studies with a focus on Political Science. During his time at the University of Guelph, Scott spent a semester studying at the University of Ghana, in Accra. Scott also graduated from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a Master of Arts in International Development Studies focusing on African Development.
