Stephen J. Toope is Director of the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto, President of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, and an Officer of the Order of Canada. Previously, he was President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of British Columbia. A former President of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and Dean of Law at McGill University, In September 2016, Dr. Toope was nominated as vice-chancellor of the University of Cambridge.
