Attendees of the Second World Internet Conference (WIC) were impressed with the speech of Chinese President Xi Jinping Wednesday at the event's opening ceremony.

Xi put forward five proposals in the keynote speech while calling for a "community of shared future" in cyberspace. He proposed the construction of the global cyber infrastructure and the online platform for cultural exchanges and urged efforts to maintain cyber security. He also mentioned the cyber economy for common prosperity and a multilateral approach to build the Internet governance system.
