Ontario's lieutenant-governor used a Monday tour of technology hot spots in Waterloo Region to highlight the economic importance of innovation.
Elizabeth Dowdeswell toured the Communitech Hub and Tannery building in downtown Kitchener before visiting the fast-growing startup Magnet Forensics in Waterloo. Then she was off to the Centre for International Governance Innovation for a lunch with Jim Balsillie, the think tank's founder and former co-chief executive officer of BlackBerry.
