CIGI senior fellow Allan Thompson appeared on The Agenda with Steve Paikin to reflect on 25th anniversary of the Rwanda genocide and to discuss his new book, Media and Mass Atrocity: The Rwanda Genocide and Beyond:
"Now, a majority of Rwandans — something like 60 per cent of the population — are under 25," noted Thompson. "So we mark this 25th anniversary and a majority of the population did not experience those events directly...Going forward, what does it mean in a country where it's no longer dealing with death; it's trying to figure out the future...how do you move forward?"
